Gavin Persaud has a BSc. in Accounting from the University of Guyana and is a member of both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Guyana (ICAG) who holds a Firm’s license to practice in the States of Georgia and New York in the US and Guyana.
Prior to Persaud & Associates, Gavin spent many years in public accounting (Sarbanes-Oxley 404 experience) and in the private sector in positions ranging Finance Controller of Shell Antilles & Guianas (Guyana) to Senior Accounting Manager in the US in a mid-size insurance company and as a Senior Internal Auditor.
Gavin is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) registered to practice before the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and the Guyana Revenue Authority (GRA).
Additionally, he manages the Audit & Attestation team of Persaud & Associates while providing strategic leadership and direction for this new and growing accounting firm that provides various auditing, accounting, taxation and consulting services to business and governmental agencies/clients. Gavin also is the primary contact for addressing new business startup, design and implement controls and all financial consulting needs.
Further, Gavin is a Certified Quickbooks® Proadvisor.
